Ethan Harris joins partnership at Shearman & Sterling in Washington
Ethan Harris has been promoted from counsel to partner at Shearman & Sterling’s Washington office.
Ethan Harris has a broad-based, transaction-oriented practice that includes structuring and negotiating the tax aspects of domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate spin-offs, as well as capital markets transactions. He also assists multi-national clients with respect to internal planning strategies and restructurings and audits and other tax controversy matters. In 2010, Mr. Harris was seconded to China Investment Corporation, the sovereign wealth fund of China, where he focused on the tax aspects of structuring investments.
