Hogan Lovells has announced its annual promotions – only three tax lawyers were affected:

Bruno Knadjian is a Partner in Hogan Lovells’ Paris office and a member of the Tax Group within the Corporate practice. He provides tax advice to clients in a wide range of industries (real estate, retail, bank and insurance sectors, investment funds, pharmaceuticals).

He has developed a particular expertise on corporate and transactional tax matters and advises French and foreign institutions on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, including acquisitions and disposals of real estate assets, business transfers, joint ventures and group reorganisations. In addition, Bruno has substantial experience on the tax aspects of capital market transactions (cross-border securitizations, securities lendings, bonds issue,…).

His expertise extends to tax litigations before the French tax authorities and tax courts.

Bruno is also a lecturer in tax law at University of Paris-IX Dauphine.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

Advising Chubb Insurance on the redomestication of its European operating company from Belgium to the UK by means of a merger under the European Company Regulation to form a new UK Societas Europaea.
Advising Crédit Agricole on the tax issues surrounding the reorganisation of its insurance and reinsurance activities across Europe and Asia.
Advising Croda on issues attached to the structuring of managements packages and incentive schemes for employees and directors (free stock option plans)
Advising on real estate investments / divestments operations for domestic and international investment funds.

Roberta Chang is a Consultant in Hogan Lovells’ Shanghai office. Roberta’s practice focuses on international tax planning matters for both major corporations and high net-worth families. She advises corporations with respect to China tax aspects of direct foreign investment, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, technology transfer, and establishment of distribution, sourcing and services operations. She is also experienced in advising on tax planning for outbound business from China. She also advises high net-worth families with respect to international tax and estate planning.
