Mubeen Khadir returns to Middle East with KPMG in Al-Khobar
Mubeen Khadir has returned to the Middle East with KPMG Saudi Arabia, joining them in their Al-Khobar Office. Mubeen’s recent recruitment follows that of Rupert Agius-Pease, who joined KPMG Saudi Arabia in May 2014 as the Head of Tax and Legal, based in the Riyadh office.
As a senior corporate and tax lawyer, Mubeen has worked with Big 4 professional services firms and Tier 1 law practices in the Middle East and Australia.
Mubeen will be advising clients on a range of different tax issues, including cross-border transactions, transfer pricing, M&A and Saudi Arabian tax issues, while also having a mandate to grow the KPMG Saudi Arabian Tax & Legal practice. Mubeen has recent, relevant experience of this, having successfully set up the International & Transaction Tax practice for Ernst & Young’s Bahrain office between 2008 and 2011, before returning to Australia.
Mubeen has significant experience covering tax structuring, due diligence, international tax advice (such as inbound and outbound investment into and from the Middle East), tax controversy and disputes and the taxation of Islamic finance transactions. As a lawyer, his experience includes corporate structuring, M&A transactions, drafting and negotiating asset and share sale agreements and company law advice, while also dealing with capital management issues, drafting and negotiating shareholder and JV agreements and the set-up of trusts.
