Trust & Fiduciary specialist Timothy Colclough appointed Managing Director, Butterfield Bahamas

The Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son has announced that Timothy Colclough has been named Managing Director of Butterfield Trust (Bahamas) Limited. He replaces Julien Martel who retired from the company on 27 February 2015.

Originally from Jersey, Mr. Colclough has lived and worked in The Bahamas for close to two decades where he is a Permanent Resident. He has extensive experience in fiduciary services and a depth of knowledge of both local and international trust structures. He is a Chartered Company Secretary, holds an LL.B (Hons) law degree from the University of Buckingham, is a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (“STEP”) and is an Individually Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Mr. Colclough began his career with Butterfield in The Bahamas in 2005. He was appointed Head of Trust & Fiduciary Services in 2011. He previously held senior roles at several prominent financial and fiduciary services companies in The Bahamas, including RBC Dominion Securities, The Bank of Nova Scotia Trust Company, SolStone Management Services and The Winterbotham Trust Company.
