Former Head of Tax at McKenna Long & Aldridge joins Holland & Knight
Holland & Knight has announced that tax attorney Mark Lange has joined the Firm’s Atlanta office as a partner.
Mr. Lange formerly practised with McKenna Long & Aldridge, where he was head of the firm’s national tax practice. An associate, Alyson Pirio, has also announced her departure from McKenna and will be joining Holland & Knight shortly.
“We are excited about the momentum we are building with our corporate and transactional practices,” said Allen Maines, executive partner of Holland & Knight’s Atlanta office. “Mark is universally respected by his peers and clients and has unique knowledge of the healthcare industry, an area that is rapidly growing.”
“Mark represents an excellent opportunity for the firm to continue building a high-caliber corporate practice in Atlanta,” said James McDermott, leader of Holland & Knight’s Business Section. “Mark will also enhance our tax practice in the Southeast and nationally.”
Mr. Lange focuses his practice on transactional tax matters. He counsels clients on domestic and international corporate mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, alliances, limited liability companies, and other pass-through venture capital and hedge fund transactions. He has substantial experience advising on a wide variety of tax-exempt entity matters, including matters for tax-exempt healthcare providers. His practice also encompasses the representation of clients before the IRS and state Departments of Revenue.
“I’ve been very impressed with Holland & Knight’s management and vision for future growth,” said Mr. Lange. “I look forward to collaborating with the firm’s attorneys in Atlanta and nationwide to bring value and results to our clients.”
