Watson Farley Williams promotes Daniel Pilarski to Tax Partner in New York
Watson Farley Williams has announced partner promotions for 2015. One tax lawyer was admitted, Daniel Pilarski.
Daniel’s practice focuses on taxation, particularly on the US tax aspects of cross-border transactions, with an emphasis on the maritime and aviation sectors. His advice includes structuring transactions to achieve the optimum tax result by minimising withholding tax and addressing anti-deferral regimes. Daniel advises several clients regarding the US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), both in compliance and in documenting FATCA provisions in loan and other agreements. Daniel also helps clients analyse and comply with the US freight tax on shipping income and the exemption from tax.
Daniel’s practice also includes advice relating to ERISA (US pension law), real estate joint ventures and aviation leasing.
