Smith & Williamson promotes Krista Woodman to Head of Private Client Tax in Cheltenham

Krista Woodman has been promoted to director and head of private client tax services at the Cheltenham office of Smith & Williamson. Ms Woodman joined the Firm in 2014 with Louise Somerset, with whom she has worked closely since 2002.

 

Krista looks after the tax affairs of high net worth individuals, their families, companies and trusts. She also provides specialist tax services to:

  • Individuals with an international aspect to their lives, such as non-UK domiciles, non-UK residents or internationally mobile individuals
  • Members of International Pension Plans
  • Entrepreneurs requiring advice from Vision to Exit
  • Those requiring tax reports for legal proceedings, including CGT and pension reports on divorce

Krista qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 1998 whilst at Hazlewoods in Cheltenham. During her time at Hazlewoods and subsequently PwC Bristol, Krista provided both private client and corporate tax compliance and advisory services. After joining Louise Somerset at Abacus in 2002 (later acquired by RBC in 2005) and setting up the tax compliance function for the firm, she focussed on private client tax advice and compliance.
