Former Tax Investigations Partner at BDO/PKF joins Brown Butler

Brown Butler & Co has hired Paul Clarke to join its tax team in Leeds.

Paul is a well-known tax investigations specialist and in his new role he will head up the Firm’s Tax Dispute Resolution Services offering. This will cover HMRC tax enquiries, investigations, disclosures and increasingly the resolution of long-running tax disputes via the tax dispute resolution facility. Paul is also seeing and handling Accelerated Payment Notices and Follower Notices issued by HMRC and the increasingly aggressive stance taken by HMRC in perceived tax avoidance schemes.

Paul was Head of Tax Investigations (North) at PKF, where he worked for 18 years. When PKF and BDO merged he was a tax partner at BDO covering tax investigations and real estate work. He left the merged Firm in March 2015, after 2 years.
