Renu Narvekar appointed Global Head of Tax at Tata Consultancy Services

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), an Indian multinational information technology service, consulting and business solutions company, has recruited Renu Narvekar as Global Head of Tax. The company is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra and operates in 46 countries. It is one of the largest Indian companies by market capitalization ($80 billion).

Renu has a very strong commercial tax background. From 1990 to 2006 she was with Procter & Gamble, leaving as Group Manager for India Tax. She then moved into financial services, initially with Standard Chartered and then with HSBC. She was a Senior VP & Head of Tax (HSBC India) from 2008 to 2011. She was then promoted to Regional Head of Tax for Europe, running a team of 60 tax professionals from London. In addition she was the global lead for Transfer Pricing.

Renu left HSBC in February 2015 and returned to Mumbai to run her own boutique firm. She started her new role with Tata last month.
