Andrew Paterson promoted to tax partner at Murray Beith Murray
Murray Beith Murray has announced the appointment of Andrew Paterson to Partner and Sean Cockburn to Tax Director within the Edinburgh-based private client law firm. The promotions take effect on 1 November 2015.
Andrew, who joined the firm’s Asset Protection Group in 2013, specialises in a wide range of subjects including Will drafting, tax and estate planning, complex trust issues (particularly trust reorganisations and succession planning) and the administration of complex and valuable executry estates.
Sean is a Chartered Tax Adviser who has been with Murray Beith Murray since 2005 and heads the firm’s Tax Group. Sean provides advice on a wide range of tax issues with a great deal of experience in personal taxation, capital gains and inheritance tax and the taxation of trusts as well as overseeing the firm’s tax compliance function.
