K&L Gates gains new tax partner in Warsaw and creates German Desk
The Warsaw office of K&L Gates LLP has hired Gregor Ordon and Adrian Jonca as partners in the banking & asset finance and tax practices respectively.
Maintaining close relationships with German, Austrian, and Swiss market leaders active in Poland and throughout the rest of Central and Eastern Europe, Ordon and Jonca will provide extensive advice to these clients in the form of a German Desk. Both join K&L Gates from Wolf Theiss Rechtsanwälte GmbH & Co KG.
Jonca advises on a variety of tax matters and has handled tax-related disputes at both the trial and appellate levels, having secured nearly a dozen rulings where the settlements exceeded a claim value of EUR 10 million. He regularly counsels on tax issues for foreign companies operating in Poland; represents taxpayers in VAT and CIT matters, capital duty disputes, and other tax claims; and represents companies in employment litigation and related tax matters, including allegations of tax fraud or tax evasion.
“We are pleased to welcome Gregor and Adrian in our office,” said Maciej Jamka, administrative partner of K&L Gates’ Warsaw office. “As experienced partners and leading practitioners in their fields, Adrian and Gregor will allow us to better serve our German clients through the development of a strong German Desk.”
