Carl-Magnus Uggla resigns from Hannes Snellman to lead Swedish tax team at Bird & Bird

Carl-Magnus Uggla has joined Bird & Bird in Stockholm as a partner within the international tax group. He has significant experience of corporate taxation, focusing on M&A and restructurings. He is also an experienced tax litigator, and one of Sweden’s leading real estate experts.

Carl-Magnus’ client base covers multinational corporations, local real estate/construction and industrial companies, funds and private equity companies.  He advises clients on everything from minor tax questions to assuming complete responsibility for tax and structuring in private and public transactions. He also actively assists a number of clients in complex cases and disputes with the Swedish Tax Agency and before the courts.

He joins from Hannes Snellman, where he held a similar role, leading the Swedish tax practice.

Carrl-Magnus holds an LLM from Lund University’s Faculty of Law. He has also studied management, economics, accounting, political science and business law at Lund University, University of Gothenburg and Suffolk University Law School.
