Tax Partner Alex Chadwick promoted to Managing Partner of Baker & McKenzie London
Baker & McKenzie has announced that Alex Chadwick has been appointed Managing Partner of the London office. The term is for three years, effective from 1 September 2016.
Alex, a Tax partner, joined Baker & McKenzie as a trainee in 1990 and made partner in 1999. He currently heads the Firm’s Tax Practice Group in London and also sits on Baker & McKenzie’s Europe Tax Transactions Steering Committee.
Alex will succeed Paul Rawlinson who was recently elected as Global Chairman, Baker & McKenzie and will take office in October 2016 when Eduardo Leite steps down.
Commenting on his new appointment Alex said: “I am delighted to take up the role of London Managing Partner upon Paul’s election to Global Chairman. Throughout my career working with clients both in the UK and elsewhere, the importance of London as a key financial and business centre has been paramount.
“Following the result of the recent Referendum, I look forward to ensuring that the London office continues to advise and guide our clients through what will be challenging and exciting unchartered waters.”
