Recent Tax Hires at EY in the US…..
Listed below are some recent tax hires by EY in the US.
Liz Alek Yeomans rejoins Ernst & Young LLP’s International Tax Services practice in San Francisco as an Executive Director. Most recently she was the Director of the US Tax Desk at Baker Tilly Roelfs in Germany. Previously, Liz worked at EY for 10 years in both San Francisco and Munich, and joined GE Capital in Paris before relocating back to Munich. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Virginia.
Chris Gilbert joins Ernst & Young LLP’s National Tax Department as an executive director in the EY Americas Tax Innovation Foundry in New York. Chris spent eight years at Bloomberg LP, where he held several strategy and general manager roles. Most recently, he was Chief Strategy Officer for Bloomberg KYC. Previously, he was the VP of Acquisitions at Mermel & McLain Management and an equity research associate at Deutsche Bank. He received his MBA from Columbia Business School.
Sim Seo rejoins Ernst & Young LLP’s National Tax Department (US) as a principal located in Seoul, South Korea. Seo was most recently Country Tax Leader for General Electric in Korea. Among several key tax positions, Seo had been a partner with Baker & McKenzie LLP, worked for six years with the US Internal Revenue Service, and spent four years with EY from 1999 through 2003. She received her Bachelor degree from the University of Maryland and her Law/JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
