Graham Samuel-Gibbon resigns from EY to accept tax partner role at Taylor Wessing in London
Taylor Wessing has strengthened its London Tax & Incentives practice with the appointment of Graham Samuel-Gibbon as partner. He joins from EY, where he was a Director in the International Tax Services department, having previously practised as a solicitor in the tax groups of Hogan Lovells and Latham & Watkins.
Graham is a highly experienced international tax specialist with an extensive track record in advising a wide range of UK and foreign-based multinational groups on a variety of transactional and non-transactional tax matters, including cross-border tax structuring, planning and risk management. He also specialises in tax issues relating to the development, ownership and exploitation of intellectual property rights.
Graham brings deep experience across a wide range of sectors, with a particular focus in the Life Sciences and Technology, Media and Communications (TMC) sectors.
Graham Samuel-Gibbon said “I am delighted to be joining the Tax & Incentives department at Taylor Wessing. The team has a dynamic and entrepreneurial approach to the tax legal market. International structuring opportunities and challenges are increasingly important to clients, particularly in the current political and economic climate. I am really looking forward to becoming part of the firm.”
Robert Young, Head of Tax & Incentives, added “We’re very excited to welcome Graham to the team. His wide-ranging expertise and depth of experience across the transactional and advisory spectrum will be a tremendous asset for the Tax & Incentives practice and the firm as a whole. Graham’s particular expertise in intellectual property development and structuring will also further strengthen our offering to clients in the Life Sciences and TMC sectors.”
Graham’s appointment brings the number of dedicated Tax & Incentives lawyers to 12 in London, as the team continues to grow. In May, Anna Humphrey was made partner and Robert Young was promoted to Head of the Tax & Incentives team.
