DLA Piper launches tax practice in South Africa with the appointment of Andrew Lewis
DLA Piper has launched a Tax practice in South Africa with the appointment of Andrew Lewis as a Tax Director in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Andrew joins from FirstRand Bank Limited where he was a Tax Risk specialist, responsible for ensuring specific transactions entered into by FirstRand Bank did not expose it to undue tax risk. His portfolio primarily focused on different areas within Rand Merchant Bank (RMB), WesBank and FirstRand (Group Treasury) as well as RMB Holdings Limited, RMI Holdings Limited and RMB Morgan Stanley.
