Sarah Cardew joins Irwin Mitchell as Head of Commercial Tax

Irwin Mitchell has announced that Sarah Cardew is joining the Firm as Head of Commercial Tax.

Sarah previously worked at Teacher Stern as Head of Tax. Prior to that she was at Pennington Manches and Berwin Leighton Paisner.

Sarah regularly advises clients in relation to corporate, property and commercial tax issues and drafts and negotiates all tax documentation for corporate acquisitions and disposals. She has expertise in setting up partnerships and other joint venture structures, advising on the tax consequences of each structure, particularly in relation to stamp duty and stamp duty land tax. Sarah is also experienced in employment tax issues, providing advice in relation to termination payments, IR35 and Managed Service Company issues, and has expertise in all real estate tax issues, including VAT, stamp duty land tax and capital allowances.
