Steve Asher launches Global Mobility service at Gateley
Gateley, the national commercial law and professional services group, has recruited Steve Asher to launch a new service offering in Global Mobility.
The development of Global Mobility consulting is part of Gateley’s growth strategy introduced when the company listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in 2015. This includes diversification through organic growth and acquisitions of complementary non-legal businesses.
Steve has over 25 years’ experience working with large international practices and joins from Mazars where he was head of Global Mobility and expatriate tax services for more than five years.
Global Mobility encompasses the management of employees on international assignments, covering a mix of employment law, immigration advice, international HR, tax and social security planning, and talent management.
The new offering will provide client support in a variety of areas, including, offshoring and nearshoring, Brexit planning and individual senior executive cross-border relocations.
Steve Asher said: “Gateley is a straight-talking business with a pioneering approach and I’m delighted to be part of the team. Global Mobility will expand Gateley’s portfolio and offer international clients full support.
“My mission is to help clients manage cross-border work more effectively in an increasingly complex global environment. I look forward to working with the firm’s existing teams to develop a comprehensive approach to the company’s Global Mobility offering.”
Gateley board member and partner Paul Hayward said: “Alongside our complementary business services Entrust, Gateley Capitus and Gateley Hamer, this new consulting area will work in collaboration with our existing employment and tax services.”
