Mark Doherty joins Wilkins Kennedy to lead VAT across 7 offices

Top 20 accountancy firm, Wilkins Kennedy, has appointed Mark Doherty to head up VAT services in seven offices across Hampshire and Surrey.

Mark, who comes to Wilkins Kennedy after a number of years at top 10 accountancy firms, has 10 years’ experience as a VAT Director. He will support both the strategic aspects and delivery of VAT advisory and compliance services for the firm.

He has been brought in to head up the VAT offering, with colleague and long-standing VAT Senior Manager, Nicola Holmes. Together they will cover seven offices in Guildford, Heathrow, Newbury, Portsmouth, Romsey, Southampton and Winchester.

Commenting on his recent appointment, Mark said: “I am delighted to be joining Nicola and the rest of the team at Wilkins Kennedy. VAT is a complex area of taxation and a number of current factors, such as Brexit and the increased focus on Tax Governance by both governments and the public, have forced taxation, including VAT, up the agenda for business clients and professional advisers alike.”
