BDO Canada has announced the appointment of two new tax partners in Vancouver and Halifax. These new partners bring significant knowledge and experience to the firm, and further strengthens the existing teams.

Lori Lui joins the U.S. Tax practice in Vancouver from W.L. Dueck & Co. LLP and she was previously with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Lori brings over 20 years of extensive experience providing U.S. and Canadian personal tax planning and compliance services for individual and corporate clients.

Jeremy Scott joins the BDO Indirect Tax practice in Halifax from Sobeys, one of Canada’s largest wholesalers/retailers of grocery products. He was previously with Grant Thornton. Jeremy has over 15 years of indirect tax experience, and a particular focus on the wholesale and retail sectors, real estate income trusts (REITs), mergers and acquisitions and public sector bodies.

“Jeremy is a great addition to the Atlantic Canada tax team,” said Dave Walsh, Tax Service Line Leader. “His industry experience and leadership will help continue to build and grow our expertise in the East coast and across Canada.”
