Sarah Churton joins KPMG’s international tax team in London

 In EY, KPMG

KPMG has announced the appointment of Sarah Churton to its corporate international tax practice.

Sarah Churton joins the firm as a partner and will further strengthen KPMG’s International Tax team. Sarah brings with her a wealth of experience from advising UK and US businesses, especially in the life sciences sector, in relation to international tax.

Sarah has more than 20 years’ experience in taxation with EY and was most recently an international tax executive director, working out of the firm’s London and New York offices.

Sarah brings considerable experience in advising clients in life sciences on cross-border tax issues including restructuring, diverted profits tax, R&D incentives and transfer pricing.

Melissa Geiger, Partner and Head of International Tax at KPMG in the UK, said:

“The international tax environment is complex and increasingly inter-connected. Clients are looking for trusted advice to help them navigate the challenges of complying with changing rules and regulations, not least the recent changes to the US tax system. We are continuing to invest in our international tax practice, further enhancing our existing team of exceptional professionals advising and supporting our clients. Sarah brings with her a wealth of experience in both UK and international tax, specifically in the life sciences sector.”

The announcement follows the recent hire of partner and tax law specialist Matthew Herrington, who joined KPMG from international law firm McDermott Will & Emery.
