The National Tax Team, which operates across Mazars’ 17 UK offices, provides bespoke advice on all areas of taxation to individuals, business owners, and corporate organisations. Both Andrews will utilise their technical expertise, leadership skills, and client relationships to drive business growth in their respective areas.Andrew Spence, Partner and Head of Tax for Birmingham, is familiar with the local area, having lived in the city for the past seven years. He has a broad range of experience advising clients from all backgrounds through previous roles at EY and National Grid. Mazars’ tax team in the Midlands already provides advice to a host of clients including private individuals, local entrepreneurs, and non-profits, for which it is a Centre of Excellence. The team also advises on M&A alongside Mazars Deal Advisory and serves large and listed clients across the world via its international tax advisory function. Andrew will lead the various teams providing proactive commercial tax advice across this client base.Andrew Westhead, Partner and Head of Tax for the North West, will be based in Manchester. He joins Mazars from Grant Thornton where, as a Tax Partner, he worked in Manchester, Leeds and London. Andrew has worked with clients of all sizes, and has particular expertise in advising entrepreneurial businesses and private clients. He will help to build on the significant footprint the North West team has built in this area, while also working alongside Mazars Deal Advisory to provide M&A guidance to businesses across the North West.
