David Wilson resigns from Davis Polk to join tax team at Cooley
Cooley is adding to its London tax practice with the recruitment of partner, David Wilson. Wilson was formerly at Davis Polk.
“David’s corporate tax experience will be a great asset for our clients and for the firm, particularly in cross-border deals,” said Justin Stock, UK managing partner of Cooley. “His reputation is stellar and we are eager to add his capabilities into our already robust transactional practice.”
Wilson advises on a broad spectrum of UK and cross-border tax matters, including public and private mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs and reorganizations. He has extensive experience with corporate finance transactions, including issuances of debt, equity and hybrid instruments into US, UK and other capital markets.
“There’s an immensely talented tax group here at Cooley that works on complex, high-profile matters every day,” said Wilson. “I look forward to leveraging my experience to help our clients execute deals around the globe.”
