RSM has appointed Robert De La Rue as a tax partner in Chelmsford to strengthen its regional and national tax practice. The appointment reflects the firm’s continued commitment to invest in talent and expertise to drive further growth.

Robert joins RSM from Jardine Motors Group (JMG) where he has been the Group Head of Tax for the last three years. Within his role he drew on over 11 years of experience across the tax industry having previously held roles within the FTSE100, Big 4 accounting firms and HMRC, to refine and develop key processes to deliver highly commercial advice across all tax matters for the Group.

He brings a breadth of experience from advising a range of companies including large multinationals to entrepreneurial owner managed businesses; and has particularly sector expertise within the media, property, retail and automotive sectors.

Robert is the Chairman of the Commerce & Industry Group of the Chartered Institute of Tax and a regular conference speaker on developments in managing tax regulation within large business.

In his new role, Robert will have responsibility for building and developing RSM’s corporate tax team and growing the firm’s corporate tax business locally, in addition to supporting clients to achieve key commercial aims.
