Erica Hanson resigns from PwC to join DoubleLine Capital as Tax Director
Erica Hanson has joined DoubleLine Capital LP as controller and tax director of the firm. Ms. Hanson comes to DoubleLine from PwC Asset Management in Los Angeles.
As controller/tax director, Ms. Hanson is responsible for the review and assessment of tax structures, positioning and planning for the firm, including public and private funds, separate accounts and all other investment products. She also is responsible for financial reporting for the DoubleLine private funds.
Ms. Hanson reports to Henry Chase, MS, CPA, chief financial officer of DoubleLine, and replaces him as controller. The position of tax director is a new position at DoubleLine.

Ms. Hanson previously was a partner in PwC’s Asset Management tax services practice where for 11 years she provided tax services to numerous financial services clients in the Southern California market. She has been a speaker at industry events such as the PwC Real Estate Professional Development Program and the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries. She started her public accounting career at Deloitte & Touche after receiving her BA in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
