Howard Wiener to lead KPMG’s US tax practice in London
Howard Wiener has been named principal in charge of KPMG U.S.’s national tax practice based in London. In this role, he will lead a team of approximately 30 London-based professionals on working with KPMG International member firms to serve the U.S. tax needs of European-based investors, funds and multinational corporations, as well as U.S.-headquartered companies operating in Europe.
Howard has over 29 years of experience advising on the taxation of cross-border transactions and business operations. In his previous role as a principal in KPMG’s Washington National Tax practice, he advised on a variety of complex domestic and international tax matters, including advising U.S. and non-U.S. multinationals on acquisitions, restructuring, divestitures, financing and repatriation.
Howard is a member of the New York and the District of Columbia Bar and former chair of the International Tax Committee of the District of Columbia Bar Association. He is a frequent speaker on international tax matters and a deeply qualified tax professional.
