Jeffrey Van Hove appointed Head of the Tax Treaty, Transfer Pricing and Financial Transactions Division at the OECD Centre for Tax Policy and Administration
Jeffrey Van Hove has been appointed Head of the Tax Treaty, Transfer Pricing and Financial Transactions Division at the OECD Centre for Tax Policy and Administration.
In his role as Head of Division, Mr. Van Hove will support the Director of CTPA in delivering the strategic orientations of the Secretary-General, in particular as they relate to the area of taxation, leading and providing strategic direction to the Directorate’s work on tax treaties, transfer pricing and financial transactions. In this capacity, he will play a key role in the ongoing work on base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS), including on the taxation of the digital currency.
Mr. Van Hove has extensive experience in the field of taxation, both in the Public and Private Sector. Since 2018, he has served as Senior Tax Advisor in the Tax Treaty, Transfer Pricing and Financial Transactions Division within CTPA. Prior to joining the OECD, Mr Van Hove was Director of Global Tax Planning and Reporting at Amazon. He has also served as the Tax Legislative Counsel at the US Treasury Department where he worked for four years, and has been a partner at two law firms where his practice focused on tax matters.
A US national, Mr. Van Hove holds an LLM in Taxation from New York University Law School, a Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law and a Bachelor Degree in History from Yale University.
