Kal Sangha moves from KPMG to RSM in Glasgow

 In KPMG, RSM

RSM has strengthened its tax practice in Scotland by appointing a new corporate tax partner, based in Glasgow.

Kal Sangha joins RSM from KPMG where he was a director in the tax team advising a broad portfolio of clients ranging from large corporates and multi-nationals, to owner managed businesses across Scotland and the UK.

He brings a wealth of experience in domestic and international corporate tax, with particular specialisms in capital expenditure planning; leasing; M&A and private equity. He has over 21 years in practice, both as an auditor and tax adviser, and has developed expertise in many sectors including infrastructure, real estate, construction, manufacturing, retail and hospitality.

In his new role, Kal will work closely with David Payne in leading the tax practice in Glasgow and in supporting the continuing growth of the Scottish practice and corporate client base.

Alan Aitchison, RSM’s office managing partner in Glasgow, said: ‘In an increasingly complex tax environment in Scotland, practical, pragmatic and expert advice is what businesses need to succeed. As a leading tax professional, Kal’s experience and approach delivers just that – a rational, commercial viewpoint in a complex economic landscape.’

Commenting on his appointment, Kal added: ‘RSM is a growing, dynamic and ambitious firm and I’m delighted to be joining an outstanding team and practice here in Scotland. I’m looking forward to growing our middle market business as we seek to expand our client relationships across the region and provide market leading tax advice on some of the most complex areas of tax and unprecedented economic change we have seen in many years.’
