Ashurst promotes Tim Gummer to tax partner

Ashurst has announced the promotion of 21 partners, effective from 1 May 2019.

The promotions are across nine offices and 10 practices, with 48% in Asia Pacific and 52% in Europe. By country, nine of the new partners are in Australia, eight in the UK, and one in each of Germany, France, Hong Kong and UAE. 52% of the partners promoted this year are female.

The promotions include new tax partner, Tim Gummer, who is based in the London office.

Tim has experience of advising on the tax aspects of a wide variety of transactions and has particular expertise in real estate, real estate finance and oil & gas taxation.

Tim also regularly advises on VAT and business rates matters, and contributes to Practical Law Company articles relating to stamp duty land tax.

Tim is recommended in the Legal 500 UK 2017 for VAT and Indirect Tax.
