Jim Hillan joins Gateley tax team in London

 In CMS, Gateley

The London office of Gateley Plc has announced the appointment of partner Jim Hillan to the Tax team.

Jim joins the group from CMS, an international law firm, where he worked as a Tax Partner since 2014. He previously worked at Dundas and Wilson for ten years before that firm joined forces with CMS. Collectively, Jim has over 20 years of experience in law.

He says one of the main things that attracted him to the role at Gateley was the rapid growth and forward-thinking nature of the business: “It was a great opportunity for me to join an exciting, growing team. Gateley’s broad practice is also unique. It’s not just a law firm, but a law-led professional services group that offers legal advice alongside other specialist business services.”

Jim added: “I’m really excited to work with Gateley’s Head of Tax, James Gopsill and the rest of the team to further strengthen the tax offering.”

Gateley’s Head of Tax and partner, James Gopsill, commented: “I’m delighted to welcome Jim to our team and continue to grow our practice. He has a wealth of experience in tax, and I have no doubt that his skills, experience and knowledge will be an invaluable addition to our team.

“Jim is joining Gateley at an exciting period of growth and expansion. We will continue to grow from strength to strength this year in London, so that we can provide even greater advice for our clients. Jim’s appointment is just one of the ways that we are demonstrating this growth.”
