 In BDO

BDO LLP has grown its tax expertise with the appointment of two new partners.

Ian Bowden will join BDO as a tax technology expert, helping clients utilise existing and new IT systems and work with them to take advantage of the latest technology developments in finance.

Also joining the firm is Jon Claypole who is a partner in the firm’s tax dispute resolution team, Jon will use his significant experience to resolve disputes with HMRC across BDO’s full spectrum of clients with a focus on corporates.

Earlier this year BDO announced its merger with Moore Stephens LLP was complete, and since January the firm has appointed 14 new partners across the firm.

Paul Eagland, Managing Partner at BDO, commented: “As technology continues to disrupt the way we work we aim to give our clients even more added-value in this area. Ian’s knowledge and expertise of tax technology make him a fantastic addition to the partnership.

“Our tax disputes and resolutions team is also in high-demand and Jon’s appointment will allow the team to continue to serve a growing number of clients in this area at a consistently high-standard.

“Since January we have recruited and promoted almost 30 new partners across the firm. It is fantastic to see BDO continuing to cement our position as the leading advisor to the UK’s mid-sized, entrepreneurially-spirited businesses.”
