Benjamin Lichtle will lead Bird & Bird’s tax team in France
Bird & Bird has appointed tax expert Benjamin Lichtle to lead the firm’s tax practice in France.
Benjamin is a highly experienced corporate tax lawyer with deep expertise in the tax aspects of both domestic and international companies. He joins from leading French law firm, Fidal where he was a tax partner supervising and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams from different countries on major transactions. As a trusted advisor in the field of corporate tax, Benjamin provides high quality support to corporate and real estate businesses. He is also frequently involved in international tax restructuring and therefore will be able to grow his business within Bird & Bird’s offices worldwide. Benjamin is particularly interested in the development of his restructuring practice and has extensive experience in the relocation of IP assets in various sectors.
Developing the Tax team into a multi-jurisdictional, integrated practice is a key part of the group’s international strategy. Its primary focus is to provide services in line with Bird & Bird’s core sectors across its international offices. The addition of Benjamin will help develop the tax team, particularly on the corporate M&A side alongside Laurence Clot and the firm’s Corporate partners in France.
