Chris Williamson appointed tax partner at Price Bailey
Price Bailey, the Top 30 chartered accountants and business advisers, has appointed Chris Williamson as a tax partner in its Mayfair office.
Chris, who is an experienced and practising lawyer, joins Price Bailey from TLT LLP, where he was a partner specialising in drafting documents in relation to cross-border tax, trusts and estate planning issues.
He will work alongside Jitu Shah in looking after the existing client base and developing the firm’s tax expertise in trusts, inbound investment, residence and domicile issues and international tax and estate planning. Chris will expand the range of implementation documents that can be drafted by Price Bailey’s Legal Services team.
The arrival of Chris Williamson takes the number of qualified lawyers at Price Bailey to six.
Martin Clapson, Managing Partner at Price Bailey, comments: “Chris will bring partner-level leadership to the private client side of the tax offering. He has a range of complementary skills that will allow us to expand our offering to private clients, ensuring that we can provide holistic solutions to their needs. Chris also brings with him a strong network of contacts in Jersey, Switzerland and the Middle East.”
Chris Williamson adds: “I am excited to be joining Price Bailey to support the continuing growth of the firm internationally. As a qualified tax lawyer of 13 years, I bring with me extensive experience in advising international families, trustees and banks on cross-border tax, trusts and estate planning issues. This will expand on the firm’s existing capabilities and enable us to offer a comprehensive suite of services to private clients with international issues.”
