Andrew Park joins Streets Myton Mulholland Tax Advisory LLP
Leading specialist in Tax Investigations, Andrew Park has joined our City of London tax advisory boutique, Streets Myton Mulholland Tax Advisory LLP.
With over 20 years dedicated experience gained from within a ‘big firm’ Andrew is a Chartered Accountant and full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Andrew has been appointed as a Partner and will head up Streets’ specialist tax enquiries and disclosure work in London. He will be joining a growing number of senior and well-respected tax professionals who provide specialist tax advisory services to clients in London, nationally and internationally.
Commenting on his new role and what attracted him to Streets, Andrew said: “HMRC has adopted an increasingly aggressive stance with taxpayers over recent years. Parliament has also granted, and continues to grant HMRC, an ever-increasing range of new powers and punitive measures.
“Accordingly, dealing with tax enquiries and voluntary disclosures has become an ever more specialist field. Taxpayers are coming under ever greater risk of unnecessarily adverse outcomes when their tax affairs are scrutinised by HMRC unless they seek advice and assistance from experienced specialists. I am delighted to bring that expertise to Streets.
“Streets as a dynamic, entrepreneurial firm provides the scope and opportunity for me to build my own service provision and also to play a part in developing the firm’s London tax offering based in the City of London, located at St Pauls.”
When asked about what Andrew’s appointment means to Streets, the firm’s Chairman and Managing Partner, Paul Tutin, said: “We have experienced strong demand for specialist tax advisory work both from within our client base and also from non clients. In response to this we have established a dedicated tax boutique to compliment the work of our general tax practice.
“This reflects the need to appoint niche, specialist and well experienced individuals capable of providing advice and solutions to those with increasingly complex tax affairs. We are therefore very fortunate to have secured the appointment of Andrew Park, a widely respected practitioner who not only deals with the often complex aspects of resolving investigations, but also assists with voluntary disclosures.
“Andrew joins us with an established track record of handling a significant number of large-scale enquiries for a wide variety of clients ranging from large international structures involved in fund management or property investment to high net worth individuals, Trustees and Executors. He also has particular expertise in large complex UK tax enquiries involving entities, parties and assets in multiple overseas jurisdictions.
“We truly believe he will be an asset to both our firm and our clients.”
