Rawlinson & Hunter promotes David Kilshaw and Alan Ive
Rawlinson & Hunter has announced the promotion of private client tax specialists David Kilshaw and Alan Ive to partner, with effect from April 2020.
David joined the Firm over a year ago as a Senior Adviser, and brought with him a wealth of experience gained over 35 years in the profession, mainly with KPMG and EY, advising private clients and family offices, with particular expertise in non-domiciled taxation. He is one of the best known private client practitioners in the profession and received the STEP Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018, and an e-private client “50 Most Influential” for 2019.
The Firm was delighted that he wished to join us in the first place, and is even more delighted now to obtain the benefit of his experience around the partnership table.
Alan joined the Firm in 2017 as a Senior Manager from PwC’s personal tax team where he specialised in private clients in the Financial Services industry. He has strong experience in the taxation of foreign domiciled individuals, their business interests and their family wealth structures, and with a particular emphasis on private equity and venture capital asset managers including the taxation of management fees and carried interest. Alan enjoys building close working relationship with clients and their advisers in order to fully understand and optimise their tax affairs.
David Barker, Managing Partner of Rawlinson & Hunter LLP, commented on the appointments:

They are both superb tax practitioners who are highly valued by clients, and bring a wealth of experience to the partnership table. I have every confidence that they will be superb tax partners serving the Firm’s private clients over the coming years.”
