Preben Jøker Thorsen hired as Global Head of Tax at GFG Alliance

GFG Alliance, a collection of global businesses and investments owned by Sanjeev Gupta and his family, has recruited Preben Jøker Thorsen as Global Head of Tax. He joined in May 2021 and is based in Dubai.

Mr Thorsen is a tax lawyer with significant commercial tax experience. He spent almost 14 years with A.P. Moller – Maersk where he held a number of leadership positions, the most recent being Senior Director, Head of Tax and Funding at Maersk Oil.

Before joining GFG Alliance he was Group Tax Director at Neptune Energy where he designed, implemented and led a global tax function from the London head office.
