 In loyens loeff

Advisius, a law firm specialising in international tax matters in relation to Belgium, has announced the arrival of Jean Meeùs as Counsel.

For more than 8 years, Jean has acquired extensive experience in various aspects of direct taxation in the Brussels and Paris offices of the law firm Loyens & Loeff. In particular, he has developed a particular expertise in the direct tax aspects of national and transnational reorganisations, management packages, as well as the international mobility of executives and managers in a French-Belgian context. He also advises individuals on wealth management, and is particularly active in the tech and collaborative economy sectors.

Jean Meeùs holds a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), a post-master’s degree in International and European Taxation from Tilburg University (the Netherlands), and an Executive Master’s degree in Belgian Taxation from the Solvay Business School (Belgium). Jean has been admitted to the Brussels Bar in 2013. He was also admitted to the Paris Bar between 2018 and 2021, and is a member of the Institut des Avocats Conseils Fiscaux en France (IACF).

Commenting on the arrival, Laurent Donnay de Casteau, founding partner of the firm, said:

“Jean’s arrival is part of the growth of the firm, which, although only recently formed, is already well recognised on the Belgian and international tax scene. Jean’s practice and his vision of taxation correspond perfectly to the firm’s ones, namely personalised and pragmatic advice based on technical excellence. With his arrival, the firm is strengthened and asserts its ambitions for the future. I look forward to working with Jean again, whom I appreciate both technically and personally.
