Stephen Woodhouse to build PE Tax team at Tilney Smith & Williamson / Evelyn Partners

Tilney Smith & Williamson, which will shortly re-brand to Evelyn Partners, has appointed Stephen Woodhouse as a Partner with a remit to build and develop its private equity tax offering.

Stephen joins the firm’s professional services business from EY where he was an Associate Partner who led the Manchester Private Equity Transaction Tax Team and was part of the wider national Mid-Market group. Stephen is a specialist in this field and has over 15 years of experience supporting mid-market private equity clients and their management teams on the tax implications of all aspects of corporate finance activity.

He will work closely with Tilney Smith & Williamson’s Transaction Services team which advises private equity firms, corporate clients, banks and family offices, and provides financial due diligence and sale and purchase agreement (SPA) advice on transactions and also reporting accountant and assist services in connection with IPOs and other capital markets transactions.
