 In Grant Thornton

Grant Thornton UK has announced the appointment of Davyd Fisher as Partner in its Tax practice.  The promotion of Davyd to the partnership is the latest in a range of investments in senior talent to drive the firm’s ambitious growth strategy.

Based in Manchester, Davyd specialises in Global Mobility Tax Services, assisting employers in managing the complexities of cross-border taxation and social security. His areas of expertise include tax policy, process compliance and consulting. Davyd has a specific focus on technology that supports organisations in managing the complexities of business travel and remote work.

In his new role, Davyd joins the firm’s Employer Solutions leadership team within the Tax practice. He will have a regional responsibility for growing the business in the North of England, supporting international companies, both inbound and outbound, whilst also ultimately supporting growth of the firm’s presence across the UK.

Commenting on his promotion, Davyd said:

“I joined Grant Thornton as a manager because I wanted more autonomy to deliver work in my own way, and I wanted to focus on client relationships.  This is something that I’ve been able to do at Grant Thornton which is why I’m still here 13 years later. I’m incredibly proud of the firm and my team and I’m looking forward to playing an important part in the firm’s next chapter, continuing to provide high quality service to our clients and delivering on our growth ambitions.”

Katy Bond, Global Mobility Services and Tax Partner at Grant Thornton UK said:

“I am excited to welcome Davyd to the partnership to support the growth of our Global Mobility services offering. A geographically diverse workforce brings opportunities as well as challenges and employee mobility are increasingly central to strategy and talent development for organisations. Davyd contributes a wealth of experience and knowledge to the leadership team and will play a vital role in securing growth opportunities for the firm.”
