Laurent Donnay de Casteau launches tax boutique: ADVISIUS

Laurent Donnay de Casteau has set up a new tax legal firm called ADVISIUS,

Laurent was formerly a partner with Osborne Clarke and led its Belgian tax practice (that he launched in 2015).

We can also assist other Belgian or foreign advisers to provide them with our tax expertise” commented Laurent Donnay de Casteau.

Laurent has more than 20 years’ experience in direct tax (corporate, remuneration and benefits, private clients) and last year he got the annulment of the tax on securities accounts by the Constitutional Court of Belgium.

His practice focuses on corporate structuring/restructuring, the tax aspects of M&A, private equity, investment funds, high net worth individuals and expats issues. He serves both publicly-traded and closely held businesses, both at the level of the companies and the ultimate shareholders. He is a member of the International Fiscal Association, has been a member of the Brussels Bar since 2000.

Laurent is adjunct professor at the prestigious business school ESCP-Europe (Paris and Luxembourg) in international tax (International mobility, remuneration and stock options). He is ranked as a tax expert in Chambers & Partners (Global, 2014, 2015, Europe 2018, 2019) and is recommended by Legal500 (EMEA, 2018, 2019). Clients appreciate that he “is able to be innovative and can think outside the box to find answers” (Chambers, Europe, 2018). Lionel Wellekens joins as counsel for conducting the indirect tax practice. Nawel Benaisa completes the team, which is expected to grow in the near future.
