3 new tax partners at Clifford Chance
Clifford Chance has announced the promotion of 37 lawyers to the partnership. The new partners are drawn from all of the firm’s market-leading practices and reflect continued investment and growth in every region. The appointments reflect the firm’s global strategic growth priorities and build on significant numbers of lateral hires in the past year.
There are 3 new tax partners, all of whom are UK based.
Jemma Dick specialises in advising on the UK tax aspects of finance, capital markets and M&A transactions. Jemma has particular experience in advising on real estate finance and structured finance deals. Her clients include leading banks, financial investors and corporates.
Nicola Hemsley advises corporates, financial investors and financial institutions on the tax aspects of a wide variety of cross-border corporate and equity capital markets transactions. Nicola specialises in mergers and acquisitions, public takeovers, joint ventures, IPOs and secondary offerings.
Laura Underhill specialises in the taxation of investment funds and advises fund managers in respect of a wide range of tax matters, focusing particularly on the structuring of private funds (and their investments), negotiations with investors and carried interest and executive co-investment arrangements. Laura also advises institutional investors on the tax implications of investments in private funds.
