Charles Russell Speechlys expands Corporate Tax and Incentives team with the appointment of Vadim Romanoff
Charles Russell Speechlys has announced the appointment of Vadim Romanoff to the Firm’s Corporate Tax and Incentives team, based in London.
Vadim joins from Clifford Chance, where he served as Tax Director and prior to that he was a Senior Tax Associate at Baker McKenzie. He has more than 17 years’ experience across several leading law firms and a single-family office in London, with deep expertise in UK and international tax matters, including the structuring of private investment funds, family offices, and complex corporate transactions.
Vadim has a strong track record of advising on major M&A deals, intra-group restructurings, and innovative tax solutions for a diverse range of clients. Vadim’s client base is broad and international, including major investment managers, institutional investors, banks, private equity and hedge funds, family offices, venture capital firms, and innovative start-ups.

In October 2025, Charles Russell Speechlys appointed Matthew Griffin as Partner in the Funds and Investment Management team, underlining a commitment by the Firm to sustainably build out its capabilities in areas such as Private Funds and Funds Tax. The Firm also appointed James Stewart in October 2024 as Partner in the Corporate Tax and Incentives team, with a particular specialism in Real Estate, to offer advice to new and existing clients and explore cross-collaboration opportunities, both in the UK and internationally.
