Christopher Ocasal joins Sutherland’s Tax Group in Washington
Sutherland has announced that Christopher Ocasal has joined the firm as a Partner in its Tax Group, resident in the Washington, D.C., office.Mr. Ocasal’s experience enhances Sutherland’s prominent international tax practice. His practice focuses on international insurance tax and financial products taxation for U.S. and foreign multinationals in inbound and outbound transactions. He regularly advises clients on structuring joint ventures, domestic and international reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, financial products, foreign currency transactions, anti-deferral regimes, withholding tax issues, foreign tax credit planning and U.S. tax treaties.
Prior to joining Sutherland, Mr. Ocasal was an international tax partner in the Washington, D.C., office of PricewaterhouseCoopers and previously was in private law practice. He is a frequent author of articles focusing on international tax issues.
