Jackson Hewitt Tax Service – new COO

Jackson Hewitt Tax Service, Inc, a provider of services related to income tax, has announced the appointment of Michael Yerington as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

The Parsippany, New Jersey based company said Yerington will report to Michael Lister, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. His expertise includes operations, product development, business growth and acquisitions. Yerington has been associated with First Data Corporation and its Western Union divisions in California, New Jersey and Colorado for over 25 years in various assignments. He was also at ITT World Communication, in New York and California until about 1988.

Yerington was President, Western Union Global Business Development, managing profit and loss portfolio of business units centred on commercial bill payment, transportation, gift cards, pre-paid services and mergers and acquisitions. He was also President, Western Union North America with responsibilities of agent recruitment and development.
