Andrew Jupp will be new Head of Tax at haysmacintyre
haysmacintyre, the London-based firm of Chartered Accountants and tax advisers, appoints Andrew Jupp as its new Head of Tax from 1st September 2010. Andrew was formerly National Head of Tax at RSM Tenon, and before that a tax partner with Ernst & Young.
Commenting on the appointment, Managing Partner, Simon Wilks, says “We are delighted to welcome Andrew on board to help further grow our tax practice which now has over 30 professionals in areas as diverse as corporate, employment, charitable and private tax as well as VAT. To attract such a high calibre and well-known name in the profession demonstrates our increased presence in the market-place and our commitment to providing proactive and commercial tax advice to our clients.”
Andrew says: “I am extremely excited about this opportunity; haysmacintyre has established a very strong presence in the corporate SME sector, and has grown its work in the corporate finance field, particularly with the small caps. With 25 years’ experience working with these types of clients – as well as those in areas where haysmacintyre is really well known such as charities and private clients – I very much look forward to leading the team. As the UK economy picks up, clients will be looking for practical and commercial tax advice to ensure that they lead the UK out of the downturn”.
Andrew’s appointment brings the number of partners to 24, with some 160 staff and places the firm as one of the leading independent professional services firms in the UK.
