Serota new Chair of ABA Tax Section

Susan P. Serota (Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, New York) has begun her one-year term as Chair of the American Bar Association Tax Section.

Serota leads the executive compensation and employee benefits practice at her firm. Prior to becoming chair of the Tax Section, Serota chaired both the Section’s Employee Benefits Committee and the ABA Joint Committee on Employee Benefits. She is a former member of the executive committee of the New York State Bar Association Tax Section.

Serota succeeds Dennis B. Drapkin (Jones Day, Dallas).

The American Bar Association is the largest voluntary professional association in the world. With more than 400,000 members, the ABA provides law school accreditation, continuing legal education, information about the law, programs to assist lawyers and judges in their work, and initiatives to improve the legal system for the public.
