McCarthy Tétrault hires Meighen from Stikeman Elliott
McCarthy Tétrault has announced that Christian Meighen has joined the firm as a partner in the tax practice. Mr. Meighen specializes in tax law, particularly related to mergers, acquisitions, and national and international corporate reorganizations and restructurings.
Having acted for large Canadian corporations on mergers and acquisitions and advised on important cross-border transactions, Mr. Meighen will work closely with other tax partners based in the Montréal office including Frédéric Harvey, Guy Gagnon and Ylang Ha, further enhancing this capable team.

Mr. Meighen has lectured at the HEC Montréal, Law Faculty of Université de Montréal in the Master of Laws (taxation) program since 2003. He has authored or co-authored articles and presentations for Lexpert and the annual conference of the Association de planification fiscale et financière (APFF). Mr. Meighen is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, a member of the APFF, and a member of the Canadian Bar Association.
