Magister’s Tax Partner Advised Credit Suisse Securities and ABN on Eurobond Issue

Magister & Partners advised Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited and ABN AMRO Bank N.V, lead managers of the issue of USD 400 million 8.00 per cent loan participation notes due 2010 for the sole purpose of funding a loan to Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Social Development Ukrsotsbank (“Ukrsotsbank”).

Magister & Partners acted as Ukrainian legal counsel to the joint lead managers together with White & Case advising the managers of the transaction as to English law. Legal support has been provided by Olga Khoroshylova, partner, the head of banking and finance practice of the firm in the CIS and associates Tetyana Kiselyova and Kseniya Zanuda. Tax aspects of the transaction were covered by Oleh Marchenko, tax partner and the head of the tax practice of the firm.
