Nauta loses a tax partner – tough times for Dutch law firms

Nauta has lost tax partner Roderick Bouwman from its Rotterdam office. Bouwman will be joining DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary

These are indeed tough times for Dutch law firms. Over the past year most firms have had  to trim the breadth of their practice areas and/or reduce partner headcount. Nauta, for example, closed its private client practice in 2005. Another large Dutch firm, De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek will be closing its Rotterdam and The Hague offices by 2008.
