Ex Tax Lawyer new MD/CIO of Citigroup Private Bank
Citigroup Private Bank (CPB) Europe has announced the appointment of Ernest Boles as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer with effect from 3 July. Mr Boles will report to Marianne Hay, CEO of Citigroup’s Global Wealth Management unit in Europe and to Paul Guidone, CIO of Citigroup’s Global Wealth Management Sector, based in New York.
Mr. Boles joins from Morgan Stanley where he was MD and CEO of the Swiss banking division. Prior to his career in banking, Mr. Boles was a practising international tax lawyer in New York.
A former Fulbright Scholar, Mr Boles holds law degrees from the University of Kansas and the University of Munich. He is a frequent speaker on a variety of investment topics relevant to ultra-high net worth investors.
